The first
Wild Bunch was held in December 1997, at the Union
Chapel.
Clubs for people with learning disabilities
had often been old style social clubs, where you
play table tennis or go bowling, and people wanted
a more adult night out, A club where it was OK
to have a drink, chat up a potential girlfriend/boyfriend,
gossip in the loos, try out the latest sexy dance
moves, and generally go "wild"!
The Wild Bunch has become tremendously popular,
now attracting 250+ people to each gig. 2003 has
been a massive year. The Wild Bunch had its own
night at Sadlers Wells AND its own marquee at
the Tottenham Festival, which was attended by
20,000 people! Mat Fraser and The Flexitones have
made guest appearances, and the club Committee
has raised £5,000 to buy DJ equipment.
In 2006, The Wild Bunch moved 'home' to the Rocket,
then to the Garage in 2011. During this time,
some of our Wild Bunch DJ's have enjoyed success
at outdoor festivals such as Supernormal.
The next level....
Wild Bunch has now entered a new phase in its
new home, Electrowerkz - the first club night
was held on Wednesday 21st December 2011 and it
was a great success.
