Practical pioneering for
people with learning difficulties

Learning for Life and Work offers ASDAN accredited courses for adults with learning difficulties who wish to improve their basic skills in literacy, numeracy and ICT.

We are currently enrolling for courses starting in September 2011.

Courses run from September 2011 to July 2012.

The aim of the classes is to enable students to gain more independence in their everyday lives.

Make Your Money Go Further
Mondays 10.15am to 3.30pm

Learn how to read and write prices, count and add up money. Share ideas on how to spend money, have a healthy diet and where to go for free.

Know Your Community
Tuesdays 10.15am to 3.30pm

Learn how to make the community a better place using words, pictures communication and practical skills.

Words and Computers
Wednesdays 10.15am to 12.30pm

Learn and practice to read and write; get confident and have fun with computers.

Working with Numbers
Wednesdays 1.15pm to 3.30pm

Learn how to use numbers in everyday situations; get confident and have fun with computers.

Life Stories
Fridays 10.15am to 12.30pm

Learn how to create stories using words and pictures, share stories from our lives, communicating to others and drawing from experiences!
