Led Monitoring - Siren Project
User Led Monitoring (ULM) is an exciting, new and pioneering
project in which 5 people with learning difficulties are employed
as Researchers to survey the quality of services provided
and commissioned by the London Borough of Islington (LBI).
Parents
Project
The Parents project started in September 2004. The aim of
this project is to provide support to parents with a learning
difficulty.
First
Choice Trainers
First Choice Trainers is a group of people with learning
difficulties based at and employed by Siren Arts & Advocacy.
They are well known as trainers and consultants both within
Islington and in other boroughs.
Power
and Control group
The Power & Control group started in March 2004. The
aim of this project is to ensure adequate services for people
with learning difficulties.
Community
Development
The Community Development project ran for three years. The
project's aim was to promote inclusion for people with learning
difficulties within their communities.
Democratic
Participation Research Project
The Democratic Participation Research Project ran for three
years and was part of the Community Development Project.
