'Hardest Hit' March- Wednesday 11th May 2011

30 service users and staff from Elfrida joined the national demonstration called the 'Hardest Hit' on 11th May 2011 in Central London.

The protest was against the Government's proposal to cut welfare benefits to disabled people.

Watch the Guardian's video below:

10,000 people gathered at the Embankment and marched on Parliament - it was the biggest demonstration of disabled people that has been recorded.

'It was wonderful to see the Elfrida Society out in force with their wonderful banner and making their voices heard', says Deborah Caplan (Advocate at Elfrida Society)
